The first global initiative of its kind, DOW Live Earth Walk/Run for Water took place on April 18, 2010 with a 6K event and live artist performances in cities around the world. The Minneapolis event was held at Lake Nokomis, with a live performance by Estelle and water education activities for all attendees. Communications, media purchasing, social media, and on-site branding was essential to generating interest and participation in this event around the global water crisis.
